Current event 9:

The man who killed the 2 cops, Ismaaiyl Brinsley, took his life after he killed the two men. His mother speaks out and says how sorry she was for her sons actions. She says she's horrified by her sons actions, the cops were 2 innocent men.

I feel as though this action was ridiculous. No one deserves to be murdered because of the actions of a few bad people. The 2 cops had nothing to do with what the other cops in the world are doing to people. Now holidays and family's will be ruined because of someone's selfish action. Not only the cops families but the man who killed himself too.

Current event 7:

Last night on December 22, 2014 there was a man shot on West Boylston St. The man Paul Milluzzo was found dead on the parking lot of Egg roll lady and fish shack. No arrests have yet to be made. By standers say they heard several gunshots, and police are asking anyone who has any info on it to step forward.

I feel as though this man shouldn't be let free if they catch him. I'm also curious as to why the man was in that predicament. This article leaves me with a lot of questions that I hope to get answered.

Shouting Fire Questions:

1) people believe the first amendment goes too far because there are certain things we shouldn't protect.
2) my reaction to the story of the school principal was that I felt bad that she got put in that position because she was a normal teacher not trying to be involved and ended up with a whole article about her.

I WILL POST #3 WHEN I GET HOME.

Sources assignment:

1) What makes a journalist do his job?
* what makes a journalist do his job is the drive to get ACCURATE news to the world.
2) What are the responsibilities of a journalist?
* The responsibilities of a journalist are to get factual information out to the world &  let the public be updated on what's going on in their country.

what makes someone a good journalist?
* I think what makes someone a good journalist is they get the most accurate information and write about it, they don't beat around the bush or throw in or take out anything, and they need to have already done their "homework" on the subject theyre observing and writing about. Most of all they should be trustworthy.

Current event 6:

A Dallas nurse was cured from Ebola after treating a patient. Ebola has killed about 4,900 people since its been around. This disease has a mortality rate of about 70%. Many people who go to hospitals for fevers get tested for Ebola, a lot of the time they still get treated as an Ebola patient even if they tested negative for it.
Ebola is a scary disease, many people fear it and many people who've had it have died. I think putting someone into a quarantine even if they tested negative is a good thing for now because we need to take every precaution to make sure the spread of Ebola is slowed down or completely stopped.

Current Event 5:

A southbridge fugitive was seen in Ohio. The fugitives name is Gregory Lewis and he was convicted of sexually assaulting at least 6 women since hes left the state. This man was spotted in Columbus, Ohio and was seen making his way back to Massachusetts. This man had been on house arrest and fled after he cut off his ankle bracelet and fled. He still has yet to be found.

This is a scary situation. This man has assaulted multiple women and hes possibly making his way back to MA. I feel as though police should be doing anything and everything possible to be making our state a safe place to live.

Current event 4:

A sterling administrator, Jeffrey W. Ritter, dies due to a dental surgery gone wrong. Jeffrey was a well known man in the town of sterling, an icon to some people. Many people loved him and it was a sudden and unexpected death for the city.

This article makes me upset because dentists should have been more cautious about the surgery. This was a death that could have been prevented.

Current event 3:

In Blackstone there was remains of 3 infants found in a home that was ordered for demolition. The walls and floors of the house were contaminated with human and animal feces. Even after being cleaned the house still has a nasty odor. The house had rodents, bugs and decaying cat and dog carcasses. They referred to this house as a black hole that needs to be taken down.

This article made me sick, the conditions the family lived in were atrocious. The fact there were 3 infants found in there shocked me.

Current event 2:

On tuesday afternoon the family of James Notice found out that theyll have to sit in a room with their loved ones murderer which, In Worcester, there was a mistrial about the case, which happened a 10 years ago in 2004. The jury hasnt been able to reach a verdict. If they want to come to a decision they said theyll have to "compromise our moral integrity". The accusation was that Mr.Jones (alleged murderer) stabbed James Notice (victim). They will charge Mr.Jones again in October.

I thought the article was sad, i dont feel as though a family should go through so much. If theres enough evidence that Mr.Jones could have done it then i believe he should be prosecuted. The family has been suffering for about 10 years, and they deserve to finally have peace.

What I'd like to see in the year book this year:

For it to be colorful, no black and white pictures, and a lot of pictures from events that go on in school (Halloween, pepralleys, sport events..etc)
